Blepharoplasty

The art of enhancing your eyes! I can't even pronounce the word.....!! but anyway after going to the eye doctor again yesterday she recommended that I have this surgery done to lift my eyelids. When I fell on my head in September it broke my glasses along with the muscles that raise the eyebrow and left my eyelid hanging over part of my eye. I still have quite a bump right over that eye. The new glasses work fine and I see 20/20 with them on (wear them all the time.) Otherwise there seems to be no problems within my eyes, such as developing cataracts, etc. The test they did yesterday was a visual field test and it was quite lengthy, but it determined that I should have the surgery. (Insurance would not pay to have this done just for cosmetic reasons.) I have an appointment with the eye surgeon on Dec. 4th for a consultation after which she will schedule the surgery (probably sometime early next year). The procedure is done on an out-patient basis and takes 3-4 hours there. Who knows, maybe I'll even see better than I do now and I won't have a lop eye. I told the dr. that it reminded me of a lop-ear bunny! I'm going to take a picture before and after to see if there really is a big difference.
